Violet Eileen Howe

Violet E. Howe, 96, of Edwardsville, Ill., born March 12, 1921, in Louisville, Ill., went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, December 6, 2017, in Edwardsville, Ill.

Violet was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who very much loved spending time with her family. She retired from Edwardsville National Bank & Trust after 20 years of service. Violet was a member of St. John''s United Methodist Church, Edwardsville, Ill., past member of Rebecca Lodge, Greenville, Ill., and the Wood River Moose Lodge.

She was preceded in death by her dear husband Raymond Howe, whom she married January 4, 1941, and passed away November 30, 1984; her parents, Sillis and Gertrude, nee Krutsinger, Green; her step grandson, Jeremy Scott McCormick.

Surviving are her loving daughter, Donna (Jerry B.) McCormick of Edwardsville, Ill.; her grandchildren, Stephen Gerard (Karrie) Clow of Edwardsville, Ill., Julia Ann (Andy) Conner of Edwardsville, Ill.; her step grandchildren, Monti (Jace) Parchman, Michelle (Lloyd) Roberson, Nique (Danny) Johnston, Angela (Peter) Fusaro, Song Michael (Heather) Bledsoe; her great-grandchildren, Anna Conner, Kate Conner, Edan Clow and Kaden Clow; also her numerous step great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in honor of Violet may be made to St. John''s United Methodist Church, Edwardsville, Ill. and can be received at the funeral home. Condolences to the family can be expressed through this online guestbook.

Visitation: Friends may visit with the family 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, Glen Carbon, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Troy Benton officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, Ill.
