Virgil E. Hoskin Sr., 69, of Collinsville, Illinois, passed away at his home on February 3,
2022.
Virgil was born March 24, 1952, in Highland, Illinois, to Alfred Hoskin Sr. and Edna
(White) Hoskin.
He worked for Mallinckrodt of St. Louis for over 30 years. He loved his job and also to
work, and did not want to retire. When he did have free time, he enjoyed traveling to
Wisconsin to visit his special niece, Ashley Morrow. Virgil had a big heart; he was
giving, and loved to spend time with his family.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Roena Hoskin, Juanita Morrow and
Denise Hoskin-Smith; ex-wife, Denise (Rudis)Clark.
Survivors include his son, Virgil E. Hoskin Jr. and wife Brenda of O'Fallon, Illinois;
daughters: Nikki Hoskin of Collinsville, Illinois, Mala Clark and husband Jamie of Troy,
Illinois, and Aysha Burns of Collinsville, Illinois; brother, Alfred Hoskin Jr. of Maryville,
Illinois; sister, Alfreda Slaughter of Caseyville, Illinois; grandchildren: Brandi
Withrow, Elian Rojas, Iyana Rojas, Javier Rojas, Madison Clark, Wyatt Clark, Jazzmyn
Hoskin, Taylor Hoskin, Jelani Moreno, Kian Hoskin, and Alissa Clark; great
grandchildren: Cameron Johnston and Adilynn Hurtado; as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins,                                      special friend Kathy Carter, life long friend Vernie Howard, along with a long list of many other friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Herr Funeral Home, 501 West Main Streeet, Collinsville, Illinois.  Funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Illinois.
