Virginia Lopez, 91, of Maryville, Ill., born Jan. 5, 1925, in Washington, Ind., died May 5, 2016, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill.

Mrs. Lopez was the bookkeeper for St. Cecelia Catholic Church and GM&O Credit Union. She was also the Edwardsville Township tax collector.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Lopez; her parents, Ermil and Audress, nee Brady, Brown; a son, Mike Lopez; a son-in-law, Roger Edwards; and a brother, Robert Brown.

Virginia is survived by her daughters, Judy Edwards of Edwardsville, and Diana Stolze and husband Allen of Phoenix Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Lopez of Annopolis, Md.; her grandchildren, Robbie Stolze and his partner Tim Ward of Phoenix, Ariz., Richard and Hannah Stolze of St. Charles Ill., Joshua Wagener and his partner Shawn Batson of Granite City and Nicole and Trey Reid of Maryville; and eight grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association .

Visitation: Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home, 50 Fountain Dr., Glen Carbon, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, May 7, 2016, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Edwardsville, Ill.
