On, Saturday, April 3, 2021 Virginia Engle (nee) Stratton, loving mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 91.

Ginny May married Clarence Engle on February 18 ^th , 1945 and was the mother of six children. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belleville.

Ginny May loved her home and family and loved to garden and she also loved hosting large family gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Clarence Engle, her mother and father Christopher and Ina Stratton, her brothers Johnny, George, Vernon, Willis, Dewey and Arthur and her sister Violet McCary.

She was also preceded in death by her beloved son Thomas Engle and her beloved daughters Patsy Woolen and Clara Johnston her grandchildren Autumn Collins and John Blassingame and her great grand children Robbie Clark and Kaylee James as well has her late in life sweetheart Peter Gifford Sr.

She is survived by her sisters Edna Peck and Barbara Foster. Her children Donnie (Barbara) Engle of Millstadt, Clarence (Shorty) (Lisa) Engle Jr. of Belleville and Kathy (Curtis) Bowen of Troy. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday the 15 ^th of May 2021 at 12 in the afternoon at the Johnson Road General Baptist Church, Granite City, Illinois.
