Virginia E. "Ginny" Richter

Virginia E. "Ginny" Richter, 94, formerly of Collinsville, Ill., born Oct. 22, 1922, in Collinsville, Ill., passed away Sunday, Apr. 16, 2017, in Belleville, Ill.

Ginny was devoted to her faith and family. She loved everyone she met and always seen the good in people. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Collinsville, Ill.

Ginny was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter "Toots" Richter; her sons, Terry Richter, Donald Richter and an infant son Ronald Richter; her parents Martin and Josephine, nee Borsch, Deterding; brothers, Earl Deterding and his wife Wilma, Roy Deterding and his wife Alice; sister, Thelma Kueker and her husband Wally; brother-in-law, Chester Standerfer.

Surviving are her grandchildren, Terry (Gina) Richter of St. Louis, Mo., Margo Lewis of Freeburg, Ill., Marcia Sebastian of Swansea, Ill.; her great-grandchildren, Katie, Andrew, Blake, Cameron and Ayden; her daughter-in-law Maureen Richter of Belleville, Ill.; her sister, Wilma Standerfer of Maryville, Ill. and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Funeral services for Ginny will 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Apr. 20, 2017, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Collinsville, Ill., with Pastor Kyle Wright officiating. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
