Virginia (Ginny) Miles, nee Brimm, passed away on September 10, 2018 in Maryville IL. Ginny was born at Anna, IL on Dec. 18, 1927 to Dee and Vica Brimm.  She married Earl Miles, Jr. on Aug. 10, 1947.  Ginny was a member of the First Baptist Church in Collinsville and attended the South Venice Christian Church in Venice, FL while living there in the winter.  She was a secretary for many years, retiring from the Superintendent's Office at Collinsville Unit 10 after 15 years there.  Ginny and Earl truly enjoyed traveling abroad and taking cruises.  She is survived by her daughter Cindy Hewitt of Collinsville and her son Douglas Miles of Highland, her granddaughters Gretchen Hund (Husband Dan), Kristen Miles, and Kaitlin Miles all of Highland; and great-grandchildren, Trent, Savannah, and Lucas Hund.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl, her Mother and Father, and Sisters Mary Whitney, Adonis (Tootsie) Watson, Eleanor Ketchie, and Brother Charles D. Brimm; Brother-In-Laws Leon Whitney, Paul Watson, and Irvin Ketchie; and Sister-in-Law Helen Mae Brimm.

Visitation for Ms. Miles will be on Friday, September 14 at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville, IL from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm with a service at 7:00 pm.  Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home. Graveside service will be held at Anna Cemetery in Anna, IL at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 22, 2018.
