Walter W. Bohn Sr., 79, of Collinsville, Ill., born July 14, 1935, in Collinsville, Ill., died Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.

Mr. Bohn was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Collinsville, Ill., where he was very active serving on several church boards and teaching bible class. He was a member of the Illinois Farm Bureau. He was a graduate of Collinsville High School in 1953.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Anton and Meta, nee Wachter, Bohn; his first wife, Virginia, nee Goetz, Bohn, who passed away in 2003; and two brothers, Elmer and Harry Bohn.

Surviving are his wife, Dianne, nee Teimann, Bohn of Collinsville, Ill., whom he married Nov. 15, 2003; five sons, Walter (Mary) Bohn Jr. of Maryville, Ill., Gary (Denise) Bohn of Maryville, Ill., Dennis (Trina) Bohn of Dayton, Ohio, David (Cindy) Bohn of Troy, Ill., and John (Kristine) Bohn of Greenville, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Deidre Madsen of Santa Monica, Calif., and Leticia Kelly of Imperial, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Collinsville, Ill., with Dr. Dale Meyer officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville.
