COLLINSVILE- Waneta C. Williams, nee Wyman, 99, of Collisnville, IL, born on January 8, 1918 in Nokomis, IL, died on February 12, 2017 at her residence.

She married Claude Williams on June 16, 1962 in Collinsville, IL. He preceded her in death in May of 1993.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Winnie, nee Thompson, Wyman, one brother, Clitus Wyman, daughters, Linda Olson, Janet Plantz, and Joyce Atwood, son-in-law, Jerry Atwood, daughter-in-law, JoAnn Curry and grandsons Edwin Curry and Gary Plantz.

Surviving is her son, Charles Curry of Collinsville, son-in-law, Bob Plantz of Caseyville, IL, step-sons, Gary Williams of Troy, IL and Jerry Williams of TN; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Williams retired from Osborn Cleaners, after 22 years of service. Previously, she worked as a waitress for 20 years at Scoville Restaurant.

Visitation: A visitation for Waneta will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville.

Service: A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Rev. Roger Wright will officiate. Interment will be at St. John Cemetery in Collinsville, IL.
