Wendell "Lee" McCallister Sr., 64, of Granite City, Ill., born June 29, 1947, in Jonesboro, Ark., died at 1:20 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011, at his residence.



He was preceded in death by two sons, Jason Lee McCallister Sr., and Timothy Eugene McCallister; his parents, Maynard Dewitt and Virginia Lee, nee Mitchell, McCallister; and two brothers, Jerry Dean McCallister and Eugene Benton McCallister.



Surviving are his wife, Deborah, nee Gallia, McCallister of Granite City, Ill.; children, Lee McCallister Sr., of Collinsville, Ill., James Benton McCallister of Collinsville, Ill., Billy Joe McCallister of Collinsville, Ill., Lisa Marie McCallister of Granite City, Ill., Jennifer Lynn McCallister of Granite City, Ill., Jason Lee McCallister Jr., of Granite City, Ill.; and Brittany Dawn McCallister of Granite City, Ill.; brothers, Maynard Dewitt McCallister of Collinsville, Ill., and Jerry Benton McCallister of Collinsville, Ill.; sisters, Sharon Velavquez of Troy, Ill., and Melinda Annette Schreiber of Cahokia, Ill.; grandchildren, Makenze Jean, Carson Lee, Caden Lee, Cassie, Jason, Amanda, Matthew, Nicholas, Taylor Tessla and Christopher; and great-grandchildren, Jason, Ayle and Kendon.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, at the funeral home with Rev. Henry Crippen officiating. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
