Wilbert E. Lotz, 88, of Collinsville, Ill., born April 21, 1925, in Vandalia, Ill., passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Caseyville Nursing Center, Caseyville, Ill.
Mr. Lotz retired as a forklift driver from Pacific Vegetable Oil in St. Louis, Mo., and from Brooks Catsup in Collinsville, Ill., after 18 years. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Amanda, nee Brasck, Lotz; brothers, Victor, Arthur, Edmond, Filbert, Elmer and Laurence Lotz; and sisters, Leona Mueller, Lillie Poddig, Rosena Steffenhag, Lydia Cunningham, Ruby Flath, Valeria Eckert and Lavonne Coffmann.
Surviving are his wife, Shirley, nee Mallender, Lotz whom he married on June 3, 1949; daughter, Diane (Dale) Hartmann of Maryville, Ill.; sons, Robert (Karla) Lotz of Collinsville, Ill., and Richard (Sheryl) Lotz of Sparks, Nev.; four grandchildren, Richard Hartmann, Christie Paddock, Brent and Bradley Lotz; and four great-grandchildren, Beznor and Berlin Hartmann, Brennon Paddock and Carson Lotz.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, April 26, 2014, at the funeral home with Rev. Fred Kraemer officiating. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
