Will D. Fifer, age 59, of Troy, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Friday, July 31, 1953, in Highland, the son of the late John Fifer Sr. and Elizabeth Fifer, who survives, of Edwardsville.
Also surviving are three brothers: John Fifer Jr. of Edwardsville, David Fifer of Edwardsville and George Fifer of Edwardsville; five sisters: LuAnn Anderson of Edwardsville, Felicia Fifer of Glen Carbon, Josephine Taggart of St. Louis, Fay Fifer of St. Louis and Rachel Fifer of Glen Carbon; five nieces; seven nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Will enjoyed fishing, collecting coins and antiques and spending time with friends and family cookouts. He was a cook at the Madison County Detention Center and at the Travel Centers of America in Troy.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Sunset Hill Funeral Home in Glen Carbon.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Elder Guy Boyd officiating.
Following the service, a repast will be conducted at the Hayes Mallory Community Building, 216 Crane St., in Edwardsville.
Per request, cremation was conducted.
