William D. "Randy" Randant, 60, of Collinsville, Ill., born April 8, 1952, in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away at 8:37 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.



Mr. Randant loved to spend time with his family, taking ballroom dancing lessons with his wife and being involved with the Collinsville High School Band from 1997 to 2001, while his daughter attended school. He and Susan just returned from a dream vacation that took them to Rome and Prague to visit Sara. Randy was a U.S. Army veteran.



He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas F. and Lela, nee Miller, Randant.



Surviving are his loving wife of 33 years, Susan, nee Myers, Randant, whom he married on Oct. 28, 1978, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville; two daughters, Riann Randant of St. Louis, Mo., and Sara Randant of Prague Czech Republic, formerly of Collinsville; two sisters, Mary (Allen) Reinacher of Troy, Ill., and Martha (Steve) Springer of Fairview Heights, Ill.; and two brothers, John (JoAnne) Randant of Lindenhurst, Ill., and James (Darla) Randant of Collinsville, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2012, at Herr Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.



Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2012, at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill., with Father John Beveridge officiating. A private family burial will be held at Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
