William Neil Holtgreve, 82, of Collinsville, Ill., born Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1932, in Maryville, Ill., died Saturday, September 13, 2014, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.

William was retired from Ozark Airlines as a purchasing agent. He was a United States Navy Korean War veteran; a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post 5691, and American Legion Post 365, Collinsville, Ill., and a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Collinsville, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Walter and Nellie Mae, nee Haywood, Holtgreve; a brother, James Clark Holtgreve; and a dear friend, Clarence Shipley.

Surviving are a nephew, James C. Holtgreve of Collinsville, Ill., and a dear friend, Vickie Jackson of Collinsville, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, or to the Parkinson Disease Center.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at the church, with Reverend Tony Minear officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Collinsville, Ill.
