William Van Hoose, 82, of Collinsville, IL., passed away on December 2, 2022. He was born in Detroit, MI. on December 18, 1939, and was preceded in death by his parents, George and Eola Van Hoose; son-in-law Steve Hearne; siblings George (Loretta) and Lonnie (Melba) Van Hoose; and granddaughter Kristina Kellison.

William was a laborer and skilled woodworker. He worked for A.E. Schmidt Billiards Company of St. Louis, MO., where he spent 46 years crafting pool tables. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose in Caseyville, IL.

Left to carry on his memory is his loving wife, Patricia Van Hoose; children Sandra Hearne, Carol (Raymond III) Kellison, and Susan (Corey) Jones; siblings Dennis (Maria) and Linda Van Hoose; grandchildren Bradley (Amber) Melahn, Kimberly Melahn, Raymond Kellison IV, Kyler Kellison, Briley Kellison, Hayleigh Kellison, Caydren Jones, Calyssa Jones, and Carstyn Jones; as well as great-grandchildren Aidan Smith, Amelia Melahn, and Hudson Kellison.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 5 - 8 pm at The Loyal Order of the Moose located at 8550 Bunkum Rd, Caseyville, IL 62232 to honor William's memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Loyal Order of the Moose and mailed to P. O. Box 172 Collinsville, IL 62234.
