William Joseph Snowden's Obituary
William Joseph Snowden, 72, of Troy, Ill., born August 16, 1944, in Tacoma, Wash., passed away March 11, 2017, in Maryville, Ill.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and valiantly served his country in the Vietnam War. William received his honorable discharge in July of 1971. He loved bowling, actually being a pin setter in his younger years. He was a retired Teamster's driver with over 30 years of dedicated service before his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Stella, nee Brocheid, Snowden.
Surviving are his loving wife of over 46 years Donna Snowden whom he married December 8, 1970; daughter, Christine (Sonny) Erlinger of Troy, Ill.; grand daughter, Christiana Erlinger of Troy, Ill.;sisters, Sharon (John) St. Ivany of Edwardsville, Ill., Dorothy (Gerry) Deterding of Granite City, Ill. and Rose Ezell of Granite City, Ill.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for his grand daughter's education fund. Condolences to the family can be expressed through this online guestbook.
Services: As per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded.
