Yolanda M. Buhmann, 79, of Granite City, IL passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025.

She was born in Tampa, Florida on December 17, 1945 to parents Noel St. Laurent and Louise Young.

Yolanda was a brilliant chemist who worked for several St. Louis companies. In her spare time, she loved to ride horseback as well as train horses. She was also an avid reader, patron of the arts and loved going to the theater.

She is survived by her sons, Barry Sykes and Christopher (Christy Johnson) Hughes; grandchildren Murdock Sykes and Grace Johnson-Hughes; and brothers Noel St. Laurent, Jr and Christopher St. Laurent.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jeffrey, and several siblings.

A public visitation with family will be held at Sunset Hill Funeral Home on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 5-7pm with a memorial service to be held on Saturday, at 10:00 am.
