Zack V. Perotka, 82, of Maryville, Ill., formerly of Caseyville, Ill., born April 17,1930, in Caseyville, Ill., died at 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2013, in Edwardsville, Ill.

Mr. Perotka had retired as a civil service employee at Scott Air Force Base, where he was a concrete finisher foreman. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter and also enjoyed trapshooting. He was a member of Troy United Pentecostal and the NRA.

Zack was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas and Lennie Lee, nee Beaver, Perotka; a grandchild; and two brothers, Clell Thomas Perotka and Wayne Perotka.

Surviving are his wife, Carole, nee Wilson, Perotka of Caseyville, Ill.; children, Pauline (Gregg) Pittman of Maryville, Ill., Rick (Robin) Heaton of Maryville, Ill., Craig (Katie) Heaton of Collinsville, Ill., Todd (Tonya) Perotka of Tomball, Texas, and Pamela (Larry) Schellhardt of Collinsville, Ill.; two sisters, Dorcas Jahn of Mulberry Grove, Ill., and Joyce (Roger) Stough of Webster City, Iowa; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
