Gertrude (Munzert) Flaxbeard, 95, of Granite City, Ill., died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur, Mo. She was born Nov. 25, 1916 in Glen Carbon, Ill. Survivors include her daughter Dianne Noonan and granddaughters, Jennifer and Beth Noonan, and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by two of her brothers, Charles and Lester Munzert....
